Gregg County Service Area

Longview, Kilgore, White Oak, Gladewater, and Hallsville. If you're between them, we're probably already headed your way.

Longview is the seat of Gregg County, with a population of roughly 84,000 inside the city and around 124,000 across the county as a whole. We run daily calls across the whole county, not just the city core, and we'll travel out along the highways connecting these towns when you need us.

Where we go

Longview

Home base. Fastest response times, in town and along Loop 281 and I-20.

Kilgore

About 10 miles southwest via US-259. Home of the East Texas Oil Field and downtown's historic derrick park.

White Oak

Borders Longview directly to the west, about 5.4 miles out. Runs on near in-town response times.

Gladewater

About 13 miles west via US-80, at the junction with US-271. Known statewide as the Antique Capital of East Texas.

Hallsville

About 11.5 miles east toward Marshall. Median and ditch recoveries are more common on this stretch.

Longview itself

Inside the city, we cover everything from the LeTourneau University area on South Mobberly Avenue to the neighborhoods along Estes Parkway and the commercial stretch near Loop 281's western leg. Longview is also a major Union Pacific crew-change point, averaging around 50 through-freight trains a day plus local and switch moves, so at-grade rail crossings around town back up traffic at predictable times. If a crossing gate is down when you call, tell us, it changes which route we take to reach you.

What the geography means for you

East Texas piney woods country gets around 49 inches of rain a year and averages only about an inch of snow, so ice is rare but the humidity and rainfall are not. Wet pavement, sudden downpours, and standing water on low stretches of road are a more regular hazard here than winter ice, and they're a common reason for both breakdowns (waterlogged electrical connections, hydroplaning-related accidents) and roadside calls.

One limit worth knowing: outside these five towns and the connecting highway corridor, response times and pricing change. If you're well past Hallsville toward Marshall or past Gladewater toward Tyler, call first and we'll tell you honestly whether it makes sense for us to run it or whether a closer company will get you faster.

Getting here from the highway

East Texas Regional Airport serves the Longview and Gregg County area if you're flying in and need a rental or a tow after a fender-bender near the airport. Longview's Amtrak station on the Texas Eagle line is also one of the busier stops in the state, so if your vehicle trouble started near the depot downtown, that's a location we know well.

Common questions

Do you charge extra to come to Kilgore or Gladewater?

Yes, slightly, since those are farther from our base than in-town Longview or White Oak. The exact number is quoted on the call, before dispatch, every time.

What about smaller communities not listed here?

If you're on a farm-to-market road connecting to one of our five core towns, call anyway. We cover more ground than just city limits when it's along the corridor.

Is White Oak really that close to Longview?

Yes, White Oak borders Longview directly on the west side, about 5.4 miles from the center of town, so response time there is close to what you'd get inside Longview itself.
